RKO Blues Band's latest release Mr. Bluesman mixes classic blues, R&B, folk-blues and blues-rock. The blend of RKO's original compositions and classic covers will entertain you with tight rhythms, melodic vocals and piercing, soulful guitar solos. Each time you listen you will feel different, and experience the band as if they were live and on stage. RKO Blues Band has been playing the blues together since 1999. Founding member Kent Overaker began listening to blues and jazz when his father brought home Wes Montgomery's iconic "Smokin' At The Half Note" album in 1965, when he was 13 years old, and has been in love with great guitarists ever since. "I came home from school one day and there was this new record sitting on the coffee table, so I put it on our old Voice Of Music record player. I had never heard anything like it. Wes Montgomery blew my mind that afternoon and I remember listening to that album over and over. Dad bought me my first guitar the next year, a red Fender Mustang, and I've loved playing guitar ever since."
